NYSBDC Certified Business Advisor
BIO
Nancy Ansteth returned to the Onondaga Small Business Development Center in December 2019 on a part-time basis, after having retired in 2017. Having found her niche when she joined the SBDC in 2000, severing ties completely created an unanticipated void. Once someone has attempted to establish a small business of one’s own, successful or not, an appreciation of the many and varied hurdles one must scale develops. What better way to serve entrepreneurs than to guide them through such obstacles toward their individual successes? Experience shared for the greater good. Nancy graduated from D’Youville College in Buffalo with a BA degree in languages. Her employment history includes: teaching, factory machine operation, retail clerking, training management and small business counseling. She holds a Master of Education (Human Resource Education) from Boston University. A particular passion is the design and implementation of training courses. Nancy is a fledgling Master Gardener, an Adirondack Mountain Club member, a hiker, a kayaker and a sometimes knitter. She also has developed a keen interest in World War II and Civil War history.
