ABOUT MIKE KINNIE:
Mike Kinnie, Small Business Development Center Business advisor, was born and raised in Watertown. He started his first business at 16 years old, and then went off to London, England, New York City to do theatre and earned a Bachelor’s in Film and Drama. He then founded and was Producing Artistic Director of the Lake Ontario Playhouse in Sackets Harbor for over twenty years brining in stand-up comedians from the national comedy circuit as well as continuing to produce theatre. He was a Trustee and Mayor of Sackets Harbor, NY. After that he was the Director of 4-H Camp Wabasso a summer residential youth camp for many years. He sold the Playhouse, moved Canada and then Colorado and now is back in the most beautiful place in the world (in the summer and fall) working as a Business Advisor for the Small Business Development Center at Jefferson Community College where he helps people start and expand businesses. He also teaches Entrepreneurship, Dramatic Writing, Acting, Public Speaking and Macroeconomics (depending on the semester) at the college. In December he produced and directed one of his own theatrical productions - the fun for the whole family holiday musical The Littlest Elf. He also directs the Thousand Islands Screen and Dramatic Arts and helps his wife with their two bookstores. He likes helping people, and dogs.
