The Small Business Development Center at Onondaga Community College is one of 23 centers in New York State which provides premier business assistance to start up and existing businesses.

Why Use Our Services?

We offer free and confidential one-on-one business counseling to new or established businesses addressing their specific needs. We assist in the creation of a business plan or a funding proposal, help with market research, through our NYS SBDC Research Network, for new product, business idea or simply offer direction to an entrepreneur to resources available in the community. We provide workshops, seminars and classes to help entrepreneurs sharpen their skills, improve their business knowledge and tune up their businesses. Classes relate to business how-to's and a variety of subjects designed to assist new and existing business owners promote their enterprises.

Who We Serve

Since the SBDC opened at Onondaga Community College in 1986, our advisors have worked directly with over 17,000 businesses and entrepreneurs, helping them to invest over $118 million in the area's economy, while creating or saving over 11,000 jobs.

Where We're Located

Our main office is located at Onondaga Community College. We also offer counseling services, by appointment, in Auburn and at the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Syracuse and have evening hours.
